Doctor Reynaldi for Women

For many years Doctor Reynaldi collaborates with numerous associations to help people in difficulty , in particular women who, in many countries, are abandoned to their own devices especially in poor African countries.

The biggest project by Doctor Reynaldi, for which she received national recognition , is in collaboration with the Yelen-Noi-per Voi association in Burkina Faso (West Africa) founded in 2004 in which a structure for the processing of Shea Butter , giving work to well over 25 women living in situations of extreme poverty.

THE HISTORY OF THE PROJECT

It all started in 2004 when Sister Laura Bonin of the Regina della Pace institute asks for help Doctor Maria Grazia Reynaldi to give work to a small group of women from Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso , one of the poorest countries in Africa sub-Saharan. Near the village grows a Shea tree , whose nuts, transformed and processed, produce the butter .

Doctor Reynaldi jumped at the opportunity with enthusiasm help these women thousands of kilometers away and at the same time have handmade Shea Butter that retained all its active ingredients . After receiving training directly from Doctor Reynaldi, the women of Bobo Dioulasso took action to deal with the first order of 100 kg of Shea Butter needed to start the project.

Initially they were just a group of five friends , who over time they gave life to a real cosmetics company which today, under the name of Yelen (light) , employs 25 women with a factory on land that the women managed to purchase thanks to sale of their products .

Having developed a project and carrying it forward after 15 years since the beginning of the business, it is an experience that has made women grow and given them a business culture that was previously non-existent, making it grow awareness of their value . Furthermore, creating entrepreneurial projects that help local people means promoting a change in African culture where women they can be architects of the future themselves and their families.

THE SHEA BUTTER LINE FROM BURKINA FASO

Thanks to this project , Dr. Reynaldi created a line entirely dedicated to Shea Butter produced by the women of Burkina Faso.
